I've spent my life in Midland, TX, with some assignments in San Antonio, TX, and Salt Lake City, UT. Growing up in a family of civic-minded entrepreneurs, I learned the value of community support and charitable work from a young age. After college, I returned to Midland and embarked on a 50+ year entrepreneurial journey, taking on roles as a principal or key executive across various industries, including oil & gas, ranching, environmental remediation, marketing, radio broadcasting, banking, mining and natural resources, photography, building materials, intellectual property, and real estate.
Throughout my career, I've built a strong track record of assembling top-tier management teams of seasoned professionals to ensure effective strategic planning and timely execution. I have extensive leadership experience in overseeing operations through effective use of departmental managers. My involvement in the Personal Development and Personal Growth industries for over twenty-five years has honed my ability to inspire, coach, and mentor individuals to achieve outcomes beyond their expectations.
I served for twenty years as Chairman, President, and CEO of Alta United Mines, Co., a historic Utah mining company, overseeing all aspects of corporate operations, including governmental relations, economic and environmental impact, corporate relations, negotiation of mining and mineral leases, and corporate development. My efforts led to transforming a near-worthless company into one sold for a seven-figure price. I also held the position of Vice-President & Corporate Director at Alpha Twenty-One Corporation, a company focused on oil & gas exploration and development, minerals ownership, and ranching operations. My responsibilities included corporate development, internal operations, office management, budgeting, personnel, and decision-making for corporate diversification and expansion.
Currently, I'm active in the Oil & Gas and Real Estate sectors. I'm the Founder, President, and CEO of Blakemore and Associates, LLC, Road Canyon, LLC, Iron Mountain Capital Group LLC, and Bedford Falls Development, all based in Midland, TX.
